Carol Giaco M.A., CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Carol Giaco is a Brooklyn-based speech-language pathologist. She founded Bridges Speech-Language Pathology in order to better provide individualized and family-centered services to her community. Though originally from Maine, Carol began her SLP career as a home-based early intervention provider for the state of Oklahoma. In addition to her M.A. in Communication Sciences & Disorders, she holds degrees in music and psychology and enjoys performing and teaching classical trumpet when time allows. Carol maintains New York State speech-language pathology licensure, the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), and the Professional Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities certificate (TSSLD). She is a member of ASHA Special Interest Groups 2: Neurogenic Communication Disorders, 7: Auditory Rehabilitation, and 12: Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Carol is a LAMP: Words for Life Partner and TouchChat Partner (but does not receive financial or non-financial compensation from PRC-Saltillo or any assistive technology company).
